Who We Are
We are a Proudly South African leading asphalt producer. We are currently operating a total of four asphalt plants in strategic locations.
Three of the plants have a capacity to produce 120 tonnes of asphalt per hour. The fourth plant, a 200 tonnes per hour super-mobile plant is meant to service some large road rehabilitation projects.
As part of our continuous improvement strategy, we have extended our portfolio with investments into two bitumen modifying plants. We have also championed the use of cold asphalt mix with our investments in a cold mix plant and a bagging facility.
We are also among the very few asphalt producers pioneering the use of Ultra-Thin Friction Course (UTFC) on South African roads. UTFC has a number of functional properties and advantages over other conventional asphalt paving procedures and products.
Actop Asphalt now has the capability to add recycled asphalt from 4 different screening fractions to our new asphalt mixes. We can add up to 40% recycled asphalt to new mixes, depending on the clients’ specifications. We are committed to keep innovating in order to be as sustainable as possible.
